The cooperative supports the construction of roads and bridges in remote regions and is an active lobbyist for better transport policies in regional politics.

Cocla has founded the Sumaq T'anta Women's Cooperative, which helps women to run microbusinesses and so improve the family?s income.

Environmental protection:
Training members in organic farming methods and financial support for a reafforestation project.

Health:
In the "Ayni Salud" programme cooperative members are giving training in preventive health and medical first aid.
