The ananas plantation Jei River in Ghana

„Prior to Fairtrade-certification workers normally hear of reduced price and at times a whole container of pineapples gotten rotten from our clients abroad and hence the company making loses. This has stopped with the advent of Fairtrade as there is always ready market and assured and stable prices. Workers can now access small loans and also heave sigh of relief in their socio-economic life as the Fairtrade-premium is used for developmental projects which have a multiplier effect on our lives and those of the communities alike“
